The Earth and Space Conference has been granted group event approval by the NASA COVID-19 Executive Response Team. Individual requests for conference attendance by NASA employees do NOT need to be submitted through the Event Participation Approval System (EPAS)

Earth and Space 2022 Registration

Registration for the 18th Biennial International Conference on Engineering, Science, Construction and Operation in Challenging Environments will open January 31, 2022. All participants in the Conference must complete the online registration form and pay the appropriate registration fee(s) through this website. Registrations will not be confirmed until after payment has been received.

Various types and times of registration are available at different costs. Costs shown below are in United States Dollars (USD).

* The student rate applies to attendees currently enrolled at an institution of higher education. Verification of student status will be required at the Conference check-in.

Each registration will include:

    • Admission to technical sessions
    • Opening reception on Tuesday
    • Awards Luncheon for one on Wednesday
    • Refreshments at breaks
    • Program and electronic proceedings

*** One-day Attendee registration does not include the Tuesday Reception or the Wednesday Awards Luncheon both of which, along with guest tickets, can be purchased by contacting Learn@mines.edu

Please note that at least one author of each accepted paper (for either oral or poster presentation) must register for and attend the Conference at the registration fees shown on this page

Short Course Available

A short course will be offered before the conference begins. Short courses will also be available for remote (Online) participants. Registration for the course is accomplished as part of registration for the Conference. Information on short courses.

Cancellation and Attendee Substitution Policy

Any modification, including cancellation, of your registration requires written notice that must be emailed (Learn@mines.edu) or faxed (303.384.2695) to the CPES office. The following information applies:

  • Attendee substitutions may be made without cost penalty at any time up to the date of the start of the event.
  • Cancellations will be accepted if notice of cancellation is received at the CPES office in accordance with the following schedule:
    • Cancellation on or before February 28, 2022: A 80% refund will be issued
    • Cancellation on or before April 4, 2022 : A refund of 50% will be issued
    • Cancellation after April 4, 2022: No refund will be made

ASCE and CSM are dedicated to hosting an event that has the best interests of our guests front of mind. We are committed to holding an event where everyone feels safe. All ASCE Earth and Space 2022 participants will be required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-191 or provide a qualifying religious or medical exemption2, as well as adhere to all venue, hotel, local & state recommended guidelines, including CDC recommended guidelines, . Attendees who do not provide documentation will not be admitted. Registrants will be provided a link to the CLEAR to validate proof of vaccination or exception status..

1 To be considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you must have cleared the two-week waiting period after receiving your second dose of a two-dose vaccine (or two weeks after receiving a one-shot vaccine). This means you will need to have your last vaccine administered no later than April 11, 2022.

2All individuals claiming a religious or medical exemption must provide documentation of a negative PCR or antigen test taken 72 hours prior to arrival.
