The registration types(s) and fees(s) for RD20 Summer School 2025 are shown below.
Please register early to assure a spot and receive timely updated information. The registration fee includes on-campus housing at Colorado School of Mines (individual dorm rooms in an air-conditioned facility within walking distance of Summer School) and most meals, starting with breakfast on Monday, June 16th and ending with dinner on Friday, June 20th.
There will be an opening reception on Sunday, June 15th.
RD20 EARLY CAREER RESEARCHERS (INCLUDES CAMPUS HOUSING)

- Advanced Registration (through May 5, 2025) – $550 USD
- Regular Registration (after May 5, 2025) – $575 USD
RD20 SENIOR RESEARCHERS (INCLUDES CAMPUS HOUSING)

- Advanced Registration (through May 5, 2025) – $1,500 USD
- Regular Registration (after May 5, 2025) – $1,550 USD
RD20 SENIOR RESEARCHERS (NO CAMPUS HOUSING)

- Advanced Registration (through May 5, 2025) – $1,000 USD
- Regular Registration (after May 5, 2025) – $1,050 USD
Registration fees include:
- School tuition and materials
- Lodging on-campus (if selected)
- Most meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
- Coffee breaks
- Opening reception
- Closing dinner
- Choice of Wednesday excursion.
Travel expenses are not included in registration.
Guests:
If participants will have an accompanying guest, please contact Learn@mines.edu for registration and payment information. Guests may attend meals, receptions and the excursion, but not participate in the RD20 presentations and discussions.
Summer School Role and Registration Category
At RD20 Summer School 2025 there are two types of attendees: Early Career Researchers and Senior Researchers.
The criteria to determine your status or classification for this event are as follows:
Early Career Researchers are defined as:

- those individuals attending the Summer School as “student participants,” identified by their institutions to engage with their early career colleagues from the other RD20 countries and to participate in the early career group project and presentation
- early career researchers may be early career staff, postdoctoral researchers or advanced graduate students
Senior Researchers are defined as:

- those individuals attending as keynote speakers or panelists, as well as senior observers from RD20 countries and organizations who will participate in the conference, interacting with the early career researchers to provide a breadth of knowledge and cross-disciplinary international perspectives
Cancellation and Attendee Substitution Policy
Any modification, including cancellation, of this registration requires written notice that must be emailed (Learn@mines.edu) to the Conference and Event Services (CES) office. The following information applies:
- Substitutions may be made without cost penalty at any time up to May 26, 2025.
- Cancellations will be accepted if notice of cancellation is received at the CES office by Monday, May 26, 2025. A cancellation fee of 10% of the Registration Total will be assessed.
- No refunds or substitutions will be made after May 26, 2025.
The sponsor reserves the right to cancel the course and return all registration fees if enrollment is insufficient.
